The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) invites applications for a Hematopathologist in the Section of Hematopathology within the Division of Clinical Pathology. This faculty position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic academic medical center and contribute to a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will contribute to clinical service in hematopathology across RWJMS and RWJ University Hospital and to the Department’s educational mission, including teaching pathology residents and fellows. Engagement in scholarly and research activities is encouraged and supported.
About the Service
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is a 628-bed academic medical center currently undergoing expansion and extensive renovation. The Section of Transfusion Medicine provides comprehensive transfusion medicine and blood banking services in support of a broad and complex clinical enterprise, including a Level I Trauma Center, Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital, and the recently opened Jack and Sheryl Morris Cancer Center. The service offers the full scope of the specialty, including bone marrow, lymph node, tissue lymphoma and peripheral blood examination services, coagulation laboratory services, a high-volume flow cytometry laboratory, and on-site cytogenetics and molecular genetic pathology laboratory services which are critical to the diagnosis of complex hematopathology cases.
