DIRECTOR OF HEMATOPATHOLOGY - JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY

The Department of Pathology of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty position leading the Division of Neoplastic Hematopathology. The successful candidate will hold an academic appointment at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and medical staff appointments in The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Applicants must have an MD degree or MD/PhD degrees and be Board certified in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology and the Hematopathology subspecialty. The successful candidate must be eligible for a State of Maryland medical license. 

The successful applicant will initiate and lead research, educational, and/or clinical activities in neoplastic hematopathology, clinical lab hematology including coagulation, or flow cytometry. An established record of scholarly accomplishment is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with an independently funded clinical, translational or basic research program, although it is not mandatory. Diagnostic Hematopathology activities will comprise a significant portion of the duties. There is an opportunity to take a leading role in the Department’s ACGME Residency program and to mentor Hematopathology fellows.

Salary and rank of appointment will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
