MIAMI, FLORIDA (USA). The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in the Division of Hematopathology at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level (non-tenure, clinical-educator track).  

Candidates must possess an M.D or D.O. degree, and be board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, or both with additional board certification or eligibility in Hematopathology. Applicants must be licensed or eligible to practice medicine in the State of Florida.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in academic Hematopathology, including in administrative, operational, technical, and clinical service aspects. Primary responsibilities will include clinical service and teaching in a subspecialized, high-volume and high-complexity academic hematopathology practice. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in providing excellent diagnostic service, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to teaching and training of residents, fellows, and medical students. In addition, the candidate should have a strong record of participation in peer-reviewed clinical and/or translational research. Responsibilities for the position are with the University of Miami network of hospitals and clinics (UHealth System) and the flagship county hospitals of Miami-Dade County (Jackson Health System).

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is subspecialized and works closely with the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital and Health System in providing excellent patient care.
