EHP SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The second Society for Hematopathology Scientific Symposium, hosted by the Experimental Hematopathology Committee, will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd, 1:30 - 6:00 PM. The theme of the Symposium will be "Translational Innovations in Neoplastic and Non-Neoplastic Hematologic Disorders", and will cover topics including disease pathogenesis, novel diagnostic approaches, prognostic/predictive factors, and novel therapeutics.

While the Symposium is being held in association with the SH/EAHP Workshop on Pediatric and Adolescent/Young Adult Populations taking place on Sept 4-6, abstracts for the EHP Scientific Symposium may cover any area in neoplastic or non-neoplastic hematologic disorders. Clinical trials results with pathologic and/or mechanistic data will also be considered.

All abstracts will be considered for oral presentation only and will be selected based on a combination of criteria, with emphasis placed on innovation, overall impact, and relevance to hematopathology.
The workshop is designed to promote robust discussions, and thus presentations should include unpublished, primary data after a brief introduction. In order to encourage interactions and maximize the number of speakers, the presentations are limited to 7-8 minutes (strictly enforced) followed by up to 3-4 min discussions. Speakers should avoid surveys of the field or summaries of previous data in order to adhere to the strict time guidelines.

Only abstracts from members of SH/EAHP will be accepted for presentation. Those who are not current members but whose abstracts are accepted for oral presentation should apply for membership prior to the Symposium.
