The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center invites applications for a Board Certified/Eligible Hematopathologist. Applicants must be eligible for a California medical license. The Department consists of divisions of Anatomic, Clinical, Translational and Experimental Pathology, has 55 faculty and oversees a clinical operation of over 12 million laboratory procedures and approximately 75,000 anatomic pathology cases. The Hematopathology Division operates with first-class facilities, providing services with 10+ color flow cytometers, coagulation, molecular with comprehensive NGS panels and cytogenetic laboratories. There are 25 residents and fellows including hematopathology, surgical and clinical pathology fellowship positions.

Beverly Pathology is a contracted private pathology Group, in the Cedars-Sinai Health System's Foundation, providing exclusive Pathology services to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Candidates with 3-5 years prior experience at the attending level are preferred. The successful candidate will be recruited by Beverly Pathology to join our experienced Hematopathology team on a busy clinical service with an annual hematology case volume of approximately 12,000 (including bone marrows, surgical specimens, consult cases, flow cytometric analyses, peripheral blood examinations), over 6,000 coagulation consultations and over 3,000 molecular genetic hematopathology cases. Pathology faculty provide education to medical students, pathology residents, pathology fellows, and clinical fellows in surgery, medical oncology, hematology and rheumatology. Faculty members also participate broadly in departmental and institutional committees, tumor board presentations, and cellular therapy and stem cell transplantation meetings. The successful candidate should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as advanced diagnostic skills in Hematopathology.
Eligibility for an academic appointment in the Cedars-Sinai Health System Professorial Program is required.
