Summary:
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (RPCCC) seeks to recruit an academic Hematopathologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.
The successful candidate will join the Division of Hematopathology which includes the bone marrow, cytogenetics, and flow cytometry laboratories, creating a single unified service. We provide comprehensive diagnostic reports that integrate complex information from morphological assessment, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometric analysis, cytogenetic, and molecular genetic studies.
With six faculty hematopathologists focused on oncology, our division has significant expertise across all types of hematological malignancies. Our cytogenetic and flow cytometry laboratories are internationally recognized for their expertise in clinical diagnosis and their innovations in cutting-edge technologies.
This position also provides subspecialty diagnostic services and translational research support to an outstanding and enthusiastic clinical and scientific staff. The division maintains a collaborative environment with ample opportunity for mentorship for the successful candidate.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in New York State and with experience in anatomic pathology and hematopathology. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in the diagnosis and management of a broad range of cases in hematopathology. Experience and qualifications in flow cytometry or molecular diagnostics are desirable.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
