The Department of Pathology of the Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty position in the Division of Neoplastic Hematopathology. The successful candidate will hold an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a medical staff appointment in The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Applicants must have an MD degree or MD/PhD degrees and be Board certified/eligible, in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology and preferably Board certified/eligible in Hematopathology. The successful candidate must be eligible for a State of Maryland medical license.
The successful applicant will develop a program of independent scholarship in clinical, translational or basic science. The focus should be in the areas of neoplastic hematopathology, clinical lab hematology including coagulation, or flow cytometry. Preference will be given to those with a demonstrated record of scholarly accomplishment. Independent funding is encouraged but not mandatory. Diagnostic Hematopathology activities will comprise a significant portion of the duties.
Salary and rank of appointment will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
