Hematopathologist- Section Chief
(Morgantown, WV.) West Virginia University (WVU) School of Medicine, Department of Pathology, Anatomy & Laboratory Medicine (PALM) seeks a Hematopathology Section Chief at the Associate Professor or Professor rank to lead this growing service.
Duties: The successful candidate will oversee the Hematopathology service, providing specialty care in support of patients with benign and malignant hematologic disorders. The hematopathology service is supported by an automated hematology/coagulation core, dedicated bone marrow technicians, 10-color flow cytometry, extensive IHC and FISH menus, and on-site cytogenetic and molecular diagnostic laboratories (NGS). The Section Chief will also set the direction for teaching and other academic activities. Sign on bonuses and startup packages are available.
About the Department: WVU PALM is a rapidly growing department consisting of faculty in AP, CP, Translational Pathology, Anatomical Sciences and Medical Laboratory Sciences. Clinical services are committed to Digital Pathology and are supported by state-of-the-art ancillary testing. Faculty research activities are supported by the PALM Tissue Bank, Research Histology Lab, Brain Bank and WVU Rapid Development Laboratory.
