Full-Time Academic Hematopathologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Principal Teaching Hospital of Harvard Medical School.

Academic Hematopathologist,
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians

BOSTON, MASACHUSETTS (USA). The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is recruiting a full-time hematopathologist. The Medical Center is a 631-bed tertiary care facility and a principal teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.

We are seeking an outstanding hematopathologist to join our group. In addition to strong hematopathology diagnostic skills, the candidate must have experience with contemporary molecular diagnostics and high-dimensional flow cytometry. The successful candidate will join a team of hematopathologists working with cytogeneticists and molecular diagnosticians to provide world-class diagnostic services to our community of physicians in benign and malignant hematology, stem cell transplantation, and the cancer vaccine and T-cell therapies center. Although this primarily is a clinical position, there are also exceptional opportunities to develop a strong, independently funded clinical/translational investigation program in a setting that combines the resources of Harvard Medical School and its affiliated institutions with an extremely collegial, supportive, interactive environment.

Applicants must be board certified in pathology (AP or AP/CP) and certified/eligible in Hematopathology. Formal training in molecular diagnosis is a plus. The candidate will be appointed to the full-time faculty of Harvard Medical School at an academic rank commensurate with experience.
