HematoLogics, Inc. is a unique, research-driven hematopathology reference laboratory that is actively recruiting a Hematopathologist to join our team in our Seattle-based laboratory located on Elliott Bay. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced pathologists, technical directors, technicians, technologists, support staff, and clients to bring state of the art diagnostic and monitoring techniques to patients with hematologic malignancies. The ability to integrate multiple technologies including flow cytometry, cytogenetics, FISH, and molecular analysis, including NGS and RT-PCR, is essential. We have a morphology practice that is focused primarily in pediatric hematopathology that the candidate will contribute to but is low volume compared to our other technologies.
There is wide variety in the disease entities encountered in our practice. This variety as well as the depth of the medical knowledge available within our team creates outstanding opportunities for professional growth and career development. In addition to possessing solid diagnostic skills, candidates who have an interest, previous training, and/or expertise in flow cytometry and/or molecular genetics are desirable. This would include junior candidates who intend to develop a career focused on hematopathology and flow cytometry as well as mid-career candidates who have a proven clinical and academic track record. Both recent graduates and experienced pathologists are encouraged to apply.
