The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is seeking an academic Pathologist with sub-specialty training in Hematopathology for a tenure-track/tenured or fixed-term faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The ideal candidate will have a primary service assignment in hematopathology and a secondary clinical service assignment. A secondary service assignment in hematopathology-related molecular diagnostics is preferred, but applicants with clinical interests in a surgical pathology subspecialty or some other laboratory medicine service will be considered. Physician-scientists with a strong research interest are encouraged to apply. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has internationally recognized research programs in a range of disciplines with particularly strong cancer, global health, and benign hematology research efforts. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. In addition, regular opportunities are available for teaching in the School of Medicine and the Graduate School. The applicant must have an MD degree, be American Board of Pathology board-certified or board eligible in Hematopathology as well as Clinical and/or Anatomic Pathology and be eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.
