The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Beaumont Health is recruiting a full-time hematopathologist.  This position will be based at the Royal Oak campus, as we have recently completed consolidation of hematopathology from throughout the system. It is a full-service practice with flow cytometry, cytogenetics and molecular laboratories on site. Board certification from the American Board of Pathology (ABP) in hematopathology and AP/CP, as well as 3-5 years of hematopathology experience is required. Responsibilities include bone marrow, peripheral blood, lymph node, flow cytometry and coagulation sign out.


Beaumont Health is a not-for-profit organization composed of eight hospitals with 3,337 beds in the southeast Michigan region.  The Royal Oak campus is an 1,131-bed major academic and referral center located in the northern suburbs of Detroit.  The department performs on an annual basis approximately 2000 bone marrow specimens, 45,000 surgical accessions, 70,000 PAP smear and 8,000 non-gyn cytology/FNA accessions.  Beaumont Health is aligned with Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.  There is a pathology residency with three positions per year, and fellowships in cytopathology, hematopathology, clinical chemistry and blood banking.
