The Department of Pathology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (UHCMC) and Case Western Reserve University is seeking an academic hematopathologist to join our Hematopathology Section within the Division of Clinical Pathology. The successful candidate will engage in all aspects of our hematopathology diagnostic and teaching service.

The hematopathology section provides a full range of state of the art diagnostic services to UHCMC, Seidman Cancer Center, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital and other hospitals in the UH network. Faculty members are active in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows and engage in clinical and translational research activities. Opportunities for clinical service in additional specialty areas or leadership roles may be considered for qualified candidates.  For physician-scientist candidates with potential for competitive externally funded laboratory research programs, appropriate laboratory space and start-up package commitments will be provided. The Department of Pathology is in the top 10 nationally in NIH funding, and the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center is in the top tier of comprehensive cancer centers.

Candidates must hold an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree, be board-certified/eligible in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology with fellowship training and/or specialty expertise in hematopathology, and be qualified for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Ohio. Five or more years of experience in academic hematopathology is desirable. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
